Rixbo POS ("we", "us", or "the App") provides point-of-sale, inventory, billing and staff management tools through a mobile application called Rixbo POS. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you use the App. By using the App you accept the practices described in this policy.
Information we collect
We collect different types of information to operate and improve the App. This includes:
- Personal information: name, email address, phone number, business/shop details, employee names and roles, customer contact details and purchase history when you add them to the App.
- Business & transaction data: sales records, invoices, order details, product and inventory data, taxes and discounts.
- Device & usage data: device identifiers, operating system, app version, IP address, crash reports, and analytics about how you use the App.
- Uploaded files (optional): product photos, profile photos, and documents you choose to store in the App.
- Subscription & billing: Google Play order IDs, purchase tokens, subscription status and related metadata used for validating purchases. We do not collect or store your full card or payment method details.
How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- Create and manage your account and authenticate you.
- Provide POS functionality such as processing sales, generating invoices, and managing inventory.
- Verify subscriptions and purchases made through Google Play.
- Communicate with you about updates, support requests, and important notices.
- Analyze and improve the App, fix bugs, and monitor performance.
- Back up and securely store your business data (if you opt into cloud backup features).
How we share your information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with trusted third parties in the following limited situations:
- Payment & billing partners: Google Play Billing for validating purchases and subscriptions.
- Hosting & backups: Cloud providers that store encrypted backups or host app data.
- Analytics & crash reporting: Services that help us improve app performance and stability.
- Legal requests: When required by law, or to protect the safety, rights, or property of users or the public.
Third parties that process data on our behalf are contractually required to handle data securely and only for permitted purposes.
Data retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you request deletion of your account, we will permanently remove most of your data within 30 days, except for information we are required to keep for legal, tax, or accounting reasons.
Security
We implement industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encrypted transmission (HTTPS), secure server storage, and access controls. While we work to protect your data, no system is completely secure — please take care when sharing sensitive information.
Children’s privacy
The App is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected personal information from a child under 13, please contact us so we can delete it.
Your rights
You have rights regarding your personal data, subject to local laws. These may include the right to:
